Detoxification is a necessary step for many addicts and alcoholics and helps assure health and safety during withdrawal. For clients needing a detox, Stepping Stone works in partnership with Pemarro Recovery Center to provide access to these critical services.
Our staff works with you and the Pemarro staff to facilitate the intake process and works to assure an easy transition from their program to our residential or outpatient treatment programs.

About Pemarro
Pemarro provides short term residential detoxification services, ranging from 7-12 days, depending on the individual’s needs. The length of stay in detoxification is based on the substance used and presenting withdrawal symptoms. The goal is to stabilize each individual physically and mentally in preparation for transition into outpatient, inpatient, or residential treatment.

In order to ensure the highest likelihood of success in this critical first stage of the recovery process, Pemarro employs a multidisciplinary approach including the following:
- Sub-Acute Medically Managed Detoxification
- Psychiatric Assessment… Assessments (Screening, Co-occurring exam )

- Develop Continuum of Care tailored to the individual
- Assist in referral and transport to next level of appropriate care

What to Expect
Each individual seeking detoxification services will receive an initial assessment by a licensed medical provider? This is to ensure that Pemarro is able to provide the appropriate detoxification services in a non-medical setting. This assessment will also assist in creating an individual treatment plan to ensure that there is a continuum of care upon completion of detoxification at Pemarro.
