Living Out Loud 2020 – What To Expect

October 19, 2020

Silent Auction

Starting Wednesday, you can start bidding on items from our silent auction. As always, there will be awesome travel, entertainment and fitness items to choose from. Click here for the silent auction website.

What To Wear

Just because you’re not walking the red carpet this year, doesn’t mean you don’t want to look your stylish 80s best. We’ve chosen some classic looks to inspire you!

How To Attend

Check your email for a link to join the festivities. You can participate via desktop, laptop, tablet or phone! If you want to recreate the feel of past LOLs, invite your friends to join you for a socially distant viewing party in your backyard!

Don’t Forget Your Swag Box

You can open it as soon as it arrives or wait until the event is starting. It’s totally up to you. Whichever you choose, we’re sure you’ll find something in there to accessorize your fabulous outfit.

What To Expect During LOL

Fun and Fundraising

Our host and headline performer for the evening is Miss Richfield 1981. You probably want to wear loose fitting clothing so you don’t split your seams laughing. Before the big finish, you’ll get another performance by Miss Richfield, some shady Golden Girls moments, and some throwback 80s memories.

News From Stepping Stone

In addition to a special message from Alice Henry Taylor about the Alice + Ross Service Award, given this year to the Stepping Stone staff, there will be videos of staff and clients talking about what it was like being at Stepping Stone during a pandemic.

How To Donate

Finally, the reason why we are all here:to raise money for the life-saving services of Stepping Stone. You’ll be able to donate during the entire event by texting LOL to 44-321. Now is the time to really let us know how much you appreciate everything Stepping Stone does for the LGBTQ+ recovery community in San Diego. Your donations will ensure that whenever someone struggling with addiction shows up at our doors, we’ll be able to help them.

Ready to get help?

We'll meet you where you are and develop a customized program just for you.
