After an extensive and thoughtful search process, Stepping Stone of San Diego is proud to announce the promotion of long-time team member Aimee McCoy to the role of Program Manager of our Residential Program.
Aimee has been a vital part of Stepping Stone’s treatment team, previously serving as Lead Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor, where she earned the respect of her peers and clients alike for her consistent dedication, compassionate leadership, and thoughtful approach. During her time as Lead, she served as a strong advocate for clients and a supportive manager for the SUD Counselor team.
Before entering the behavioral health field, Aimee led operations and training at a veterinary hospital, a role that sharpened her management skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments. That experience, combined with her own recovery journey as an alum of Stepping Stone’s residential program, gives her a deep, personal connection to the work ahead. Aimee shared:

I strive to foster a supportive environment where individuals can thrive in their personal journeys.
