Kelcie Parra is a nonprofit executive and community advocate with a career focused on building compassionate, effective systems of care for people navigating crisis. She currently serves as Executive Director of Crisis House, where she leads programs supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and other complex challenges. Her work centers on collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and the belief that dignity and stability are not luxuries, but necessities.
Kelcie’s commitment to recovery-oriented services is deeply personal. After losing a loved one to substance use disorder, she brings both urgency and empathy to ensuring that recovery spaces are accessible, affirming, and rooted in hope—so that legacies live on through lives changed. She lives in La Mesa with her wife and their two cats, Akuma and Mr. Business, neither of whom are particularly impressed by her accomplishments, but both of whom keep her grounded in humility.
“Recovery saves lives, community matters, and affirming spaces change everything.”
