Alumni Association

At most programs, graduation is goodbye. Not here.

The Alumni Association is alumni, allies, and friends who keep showing up — mentoring residents, sharing meals, and raising the money that keeps recovery within reach.

Who we are

Alumni, allies, and friends

If you got sober at Stepping Stone — or you love someone who did — the Alumni Association is yours. The association is a sub-committee of the Stepping Stone board, and its work is simple: support the people living here now, through mentorship, activities, and fundraising throughout the year.

Members elect their own leadership board, which plans several events a year — including the holiday celebration for residents — alongside the monthly dinner and movie nights that keep alumni and residents connected.

New residents hear that long-term recovery is possible. Alumni who come back are the proof, sitting across from them.

Monthly meeting

Third Thursday, every month

Regular meetings are held the third Thursday of each month, 7:00–8:00 PM, at the Stepping Stone residential facility, 3767 Central Avenue. Everyone is welcome — come once and see what it feels like.

Ways to show up

Alumni Dinner and Monthly Meeting
Each month, alumni cook dinner for the residents — and extra hands are always welcome for food prep, donations, setup, and cleanup. Stick around afterward for the monthly meeting. New faces and new ideas about how to support residents and alumni are exactly what we're looking for.
Movie Night
Once a month, alumni bring snacks and a movie to watch with the residents. Bring something to share, or just come and enjoy the movie.

Come back. We saved you a seat.

Whether you graduated last month or decades ago — whether you're an alum, an ally, or a friend — there's a place for you here.
